Therapy with me.

The experiences of our lives, the good ones and the bad ones, shape how we interact with the world around us and build the relationship we have with our self. Sometimes that relationship or those interactions become unhelpful, even hurtful - keeping us stuck. I work collaboratively with you to examine the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that have formed through your experiences to support healing and growth towards your goals and values.

I primarily work from a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) framework and borrow from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and exposure-based strategies when appropriate. These approaches are supported in their effectiveness by scientific research and will be used to help you understand your current situation and progress toward your treatment goals.

I tell my patients that we do ‘real work’ in therapy, which means it’s not always easy. I’ll support you and gently challenge you to think flexibly, try different things, and move through lingering wounds. My style is collaborative, transparent, and casual, with our relationship at the center of what we do.
